Christmas 2017

What does your drawing sound like?
Having an artist and sound researcher in our team, we decided to try out a more experimental and interactive format for our Christmas cards this year.
Ismini worked on an original design by Jay Silver (MIT), turning a pencil into an electronic sound synthesizer. By using the conductive properties of the graphite, electricity can run through the body, ending up in a circuit able to create varying frequencies based on the resistance between the pencil lead and the finger.

Explore and Enjoy!
