Students present early book prints.<\/p>\n
An exhibition on incunabula are held at the Steierm\u00e4rkische Landesbibliothek (Regional Library of Styria) from 7 March 2019 to 26 April 2019. Incunabula are among the rarest and most valuable prints in a library\u2019s collection. In the course of a cooperation between the Landesbibliothek and the Institute for Art History of the University of Graz, students were given the opportunity to work with books from the early days of book printing. All prints are from the holdings of the Landesbibliothek and were published before 31 December 1500. For the exhibition mainly illustrated books were selected, which were printed in Latin, the scholarly language, as well as in German, the vernacular language. In addition, a block book and a flyer from the period are presented as special items.<\/p>\n
3D models, provided by the Institute of Architecture and Media (Graz University of Technology), will guide the exhibition into the present as incunabula of the beginning digital production age.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
