De Carvalho Paixao Jose

Jose Paixao is an architect and researcher. He holds a Master of Advanced Studies in Architecture and Digital Fabrication from ETH Zurich, a Master of Science in Urban Strategies from the University of Applied Arts Vienna and a Diploma in Architecture from the University of Nottingham. His current interest lies in the creative application of machine learning and the integrated approaches of computational design and robotic fabrication. In the past he has also investigated collaborative models of architectural practice, having founded and led an award winning social enterprise in Porto. He has been an invited speaker at several platforms across Europe and his work has received media coverage from outlets such as Der Spiegel, Le Monde and Domus.

Jose joined the Institute of Architecture and Media in February 2017.
