Kaftan Martin

BArch MSc Ph.D.

Martin Kaftan is an architect and designer. His work transcends boundaries between architecture, design, optimisation and fabrication technologies. He holds professional B.Arch. from New Jersey Institute of Technology, MSc. in Adaptive Architecture and Computation from the Bartlett School of Architecture and PhD. from the Czech Technical University in Prague. Beside his academic career Martin has worked for several architectural offices, also as a member of Specialist Modelling Group at Foster + Partners.

Martin joined the Institute in 2010.
