Ott Cornelia

Dipl.-Ing. BSc.

Cornelia Ott completed her architecture studies at Graz University of Technology. She wrote her master’s thesis, ‘Biomaterial for Architectural Acoustics – Alginate-Based Foils and Matrixes in Bio-Composites’, in collaboration with the Institute of Chemistry and Technology of Biobased Systems (IBioSys) and the Laboratory for Signal Processing and Speech Communication (SPSC) at TU Graz. As part of this research, she completed a six-month research stay at Victoria University of Wellington in New Zealand. During her studies, she began working as a student project assistant in the Special Research Program (SFB) ‘Advanced Computational Design’ at the Institute of Architecture and Media (IAM) at TU Graz in 2023.

After graduating, she continued her academic work as a project assistant within the same initiative and commenced a doctoral program. Her research focuses on the development of alginate-clay composite materials as a sustainable alternative for the construction industry, further strengthening her collaboration with IBioSys as part of her dissertation.
