Information Visualisation
DIGITAL ART | PIXEL ART
Project Digital Art | Pixel Art – Digital art is art that is created using digital media such as a computer. Pixel Art is a style of digital art that often takes a retro reference to the graphical user interfaces of computers in the 1980s and early 1990s.
In the course of this elective, students will create Digital Art works themselves. The work will then be exhibited by the Institute of Architecture and Media at the end of the semester. Students will learn all the necessary tools, concepts, and practices to create their own artwork quickly and easily. Creative thinking is required.
In the course, students learn to work with Processing: a scripting tool specially developed for artists, designers, architects, etc. to quickly and easily create results such as digital images, diagrams, video animations, interactive installations, video games, etc. The software is free of charge, does not require any fast installation. The software is free, does not require a fast computer and runs on Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, and many other devices.
The content learned can then be applied in the future to many other applications in the field of digital imaging, video animation, illustration and layout.
Interactive, generative and dynamic methods of information visualisation and information architecture.
After successfully completing the course, students will have acquired knowledge and skills in the field of information visualisation and programming with interactive and Internet-based technologies. They will be able to structure complex information and represent it graphically in various Web formats and as an interactive presentation.
