This semester, the course is dedicated to the realization of design objects for the Ball der Technik 2026, taking place on January 30, 2026. Each year, one faculty of TU Graz is responsible for contributing a design project to enrich the ball, and in 2026 this responsibility lies with the Faculty of Architecture. The course gives students the opportunity to take an active part in this contribution.

Building on the exploratory phase and prototype development of the previous semester, the focus now lies on translating selected prototypes into final, full-scale objects. Students will work in groups, shaping the projects from concept refinement through material and structural decisions to fabrication and final assembly.

The course offers a direct experience of working on a real project with a clear deadline and public presentation. Alongside design development, students will gain practical skills in workshop techniques, digital fabrication, and collaborative project management. Within this framework, students will contribute their own designs. By the end of the semester, the completed works will be presented as part of the official program of the Ball der Technik 2026.
