Workshop Zagreb 2019
Shell Puzzle
”Workshop: Parametric Modelling and Digital Fabrication” , University of Zagreb (Croatia),
from 23. 4. – 27. 4. 2019, conducted by Milena Stavric and Albert Wiltsche.
The aim of this five-day workshop was to introduce students to parametric modelling and the CNC fabrication process with a laser cutter.
The topic was the development of parametric designs of various architectonical shapes, from pavilions to façade elements using appropriate geometric surfaces, including translational surfaces, surfaces of revolution, trans-scale surfaces, NURBS-surfaces, etc.
The shapes were designed, discretized and prepared for fabrication with a CAD program, then manufactured with a laser cutter and finally assembled manually.
